Youth-no-scam Protection Hub

According to the Hong Kong Police Force, nearly 1,000 students fell victim to scams in the first half of 2025 alone, with total losses reaching HK$100 million. These alarming figures show that young people are increasingly being targeted—putting their financial security, emotional wellbeing, and even future development at risk.

To respond, the Foundation is supporting the 'Youth-no-scam Protection Hub, ' jointly initiated by the Hong Kong Police Force and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups. The Hubaims to strengthen scam‑prevention awareness in schools, provide timely support for young victims, and offer rehabilitation assistance for youth offenders and their families. A range of education and support programmes—such as school workshops, family seminars, and follow‑up case support—are being carried out across the community.

On 29 January 2026, the Hub hosted the Youth-no-scam Forum and its official launch ceremony. The event brought together policing experts, counselling professionals, and cybersecurity consultants to examine current scam trends and share practical techniques with students. Speakers also equipped young participants with strategies to recognise risks, stay vigilant online, and respond calmly when facing potential scam.

Through this Hub, the Foundation aims to build stronger scam‑prevention awareness and critical judgement among Hong Kong’s youth. By fostering a long‑term community support network, we hope to help young people grow safely and confidently in the digital era—working together to create schools that are better protected against scams and a safer society for the next generation.
